Best Noise Cancelling Headphones

Boys and Girls
Sounds like it defeats the object of having them.
Had a pair of Bose Ones, but now somewhere in the Thames,..(long story but involves beer)
Looking to get a new pair and like the sound of
Sony WH-1000XM4 ones.
Bit pricey, but so long as I don't get go near water.
Any recommendations?
I don't the ones you stick in your ears as I have funny shaped lug holes.

Got various Headphones, wired and unwired. Partake in a fair amount of DJing both at home and occasionally out in public and for that use my pioneer HDJ's.
Have the Bose QC 35 II and they are first class. As has been said their customer service is brilliant to as I have historically had the Soundsport in ear buds and when they broke they were replaced on the spot at no cost and no questions asked.
Tend to use the Apple Air Pods Pro for just walking around and really impressed with the noise cancelling on them.

Might have a similar one .... Sennheiser PXC-550
Excellent for the commute .... so have sat hardly used for the last 12 months

I had a set of bose headphones and I didn't think the sound quailty was that good. I have now got some sennheiser ones which can be sound adjusted with the app and the sound is very good

Not always an option when the iPhones no longer have a jack to plug a wired set of headphones into and especially when Apple want 40 odd notes for the adaptor. Other phone manufacturers will eventually follow suit.

Go for wired if you want the best sound. The best you'll get with anything Bluetooth is acceptable sound but mostly you'll get shit sound quality. If you must go Bluetooth make sure both the device you're listening to and your headphones support the better end of the shitty Bluetooth spectrum of codecs, APTXHD or LDAC at a push. Anything else is dire.

Have you tried a duvet? It's good at cancelling noise, less so at delivering quality music.

I’m no expert but like my music. I’ve got the Sony ( bought as a birthday present) and can tell you they have a really good sound.
I’ve also got Bose soundbar and soundlink and Bose system in car, also really good.
Whichever you pick I think you’d be happy.

Owned the bose qc30, comfortable but sound quality not great.
Switched to senheisser momentums, massive improvement. My lad has now nicked these and im back to my non oise cancelling beyerdynamic t51.

They do headphones from £80 to £1500. They all need kid gloves and are not designed for travelling around. They are however the best sounding. I did ask the OP exactly what they need so they may not suit.

have mine few years, needed new leather pads on one of the ears, went in and they replaced both of them for nothing. Quality company

Had a pair of Grado SR125's (iirc) prior to my B&W's
Lasted six months. The foam covers literally began to fall apart and all components were plastic and began to dismantle after about 6 months.
Fantastic sound quality but diabolical build quality.
Also open-backed so leaked sound like a sieve.
Not even sure they make noise cancelling models, apart from in-ear.
